NO NEWS--WELL SOME NEWS

Believe it or not-nothing new has happened since the 4th of July. Yes I lead a very boring life. I do not even do crafts anymore because there is no room in our lil puter room..it is just chock full of junk. So I have truly nothing new to say.

Just in case anyone wanted to know—my lawyer did send a formal complaint to W/C about the psychiatrist and has listed another one for me to see. He told me that several of his other clients really like this guy and he does not make them feel like a number. So I am glad. W/C has no choice but to approve it. It is all a matter of time. STILL NO CHECK. I have a call into the lawyer for that too right now. I guess he will get back to me on Monday. This is not a good thing that the check did not come…I will probably have no phone by Monday but there is nothing I can do about that. Beside the obvious reasons behind not having money..first W/C will have to put a trace on the check and a stop payment and then paperwork will have to go in to reissue another check. Of course this means a couple of more weeks..I guess they feel I can live off the land and pay bills with the money tree that is in my backyard. GEEZ!!! I love red tape. NOT!!!

OK…here is a bit of a rant I have—I love the peeps that come by and leave comments in my journal and/or send me emails and such…I love hearing from peeps—but I am finding that this wonderful lil community of J-land has some fake people in it. They claim they are friends yet they could careless. I am just tired of people like that. That is probably one of the main reasons I just keep to myself and only leave comments in a very select few journals—for fear that people are not real-genuine, you know what I mean.

Enough of that—have I mentioned that just to top off my stress and anxiety at the loss of my check, Allen got a nice ticket. For a suspended license. BUT his license is not suspended. When we switched insurances the companies are suppose to relay info with the DMV, well someone dropped the ball and his license was suspended without any notification to us. So when he got stopped by a deputy that just wanted to raz someone in uniform..(BELIEVE ME, SHE WAS ON THE WAR PATH) even her partner had to tell her to back off, she informed Allen that he was driving with a suspended license. She gave him a $115.50 ticket and took his license. Allen was HOT by the time he got home. The reason we know that she wanted to go off on Allen is because on the speaker of her car she called out for him to step out of his vehicle. Usually here they do not do that unless you are wanted or something. Just because the highway is so busy with traffic. Then when he did she was drawing her gun… screaming at him, asking if he had any weapons. Sorry but the _itch is crazy. Her partner in another vehicle came racing down the highway and had to pull her aside, after speaking with her—she toned down a bit. So to make a long story short—I went to the DMV website and entered our insurance info and then looked up his license status and it is not suspended. So all he has to do is go to the courthouse and provide proof that his license accordingto the DMV is not suspended and we have insurance. Allen tried to show her his insurance card but she refused to look at it. Usually here fellow FDLE officers giveeach other a courtesy about tickets and such if it can be cleared up but apparently this deputy wanted blood. So it took Allen quite a while to settle down about it all and relax. Needless to say this set off his headaches for two days. GEEZ—I do feel for him. BTW- A friend of his took him to DMV and he got his license back. He is now a happy camper and all is well on the home front.

Heard from my son AJ (army kid) last night. He only has two more weeks left to his MOS training and then he gets to go home. So I am very happy for him. He also decided to tell me that he got a tattoo. LORD- Both boys (twins) got tribal tattoos on their upper arms. Allen is not happy about it, I think some tattoos are very cool. AJ loves it so that is all that matters.

That is it folks-all the news that is fit to print…LOL.

Enjoy your weekend and take time to relax and enjoy your loved ones.

PEACE!!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

First I want to wish you all a VERY HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!! Also be careful on those roads..and don't drink and drive!!! I have posted some inspirational flag pieces I thought everyone might enjoy...

I Am the Flag of the
United States Of America
~~~
I am the flag of the United States of America.
 My name is Old Glory.
I fly atop the world's tallest buildings.
I stand watch in America's halls of justice.
I fly majestically over institutions of learning.
I stand guard with power in the world.
Look up and see me.
I stand for peace, honor, truth and  justice.
I stand for freedom.
I am confident.
I am arrogant.
I am  proud.
When I am flown with my fellow banners,
My head is a little  higher,
My colors a little truer.
I bow to no one!
I am recognized all over the world.
I am worshipped - I am saluted.
I am loved - I am revered.
I am respected - and I am feared.
I have fought in every battle of every war for more then 200 years.
I was flown at Valley Forge, Gettysburg, Shiloh, and Appomattox.
I was there at San Juan Hill, the trenches of France,
in the Argonne Forest, Anzio, Rome and the beaches of  Normandy.
Guam, Okinawa, Korea and KheSan, Saigon, Vietnam know me.
I'm presently in the mountains of Afghanistan and
the hot and dusty deserts of Iraq, and wherever freedom is needed.
I led my troops, I was dirty, battleworn and tired.
But, my soldiers cheered me and I was proud.
I have been burned, torn and trampled on the streets of countries
I have helped set free.
It does not hurt for I am  invincible.
I have been soiled upon, burned, torn and trampled
in the streets of my country.
And when it's done by those Whom I've served in battle - it  hurts.
But, I shall overcome - for I am strong.
I have slipped the bonds of Earth and stood watch over the uncharted frontiers of space from my vantage point on the moon.
I have borne silent witness to all of America's finest hours.
But, my finest hours are yet to come.
When I am torn into strips and used as bandages
for my wounded comrades on the battlefield,
When I am flown at half-mast to honor my soldier,
Or when I lie in the trembling arms of a grieving parent
at the grave of their fallen son or daughter ...
I am proud.
OUR FLAG
Did you know that at military funerals, the 21-gun salute stands for the sum
of the numbers in the year 1776?
Have you ever noticed the honor guard pays meticulous attention to correctly
folding the American flag 13 times? You probably thought it was to symbolize
the original 13 colonies, but we learn something new every day!
The 1st fold of our flag is a symbol of life.
The 2nd fold
is a symbol of our belief in eternal life.
The 3rd fold is made in honor and remembrance of the veterans departing our ranks who gave a portion of their lives for the defense of our country to attain peace throughout the world.
The 4th fold represents our weaker nature, for as American citizens trusting in God, it is to Him we turn in times of peace as well as in time of war for His divine guidance.
The 5th fold is a tribute to our country, for in the words of Stephen Decatur, "Our Country, in dealing with other countries, may she always be right; but it is still our country, right or wrong.
The 6th fold is for where our hearts lie. It is with our heart that We pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States Of America, and the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.
The 7th fold is a tribute to our Armed Forces, for it is through the Armed Forces that we protect our country and our flag against all her enemies, whether they be found within or without the boundaries of our republic.
The 8th fold is a tribute to the one who entered into the valley of the shadow of death, that we might see the light of day.
The 9th fold is a tribute to womanhood, and Mothers. For it has been through their faith, their love, loyalty and devotion that the character of the men and women who have made this country great has been molded.
The 10th fold is a tribute to the father, for he, too, has given his sons and daughters for the defense of our country since they were first born.
The 11th fold represents the lower portion of the seal of King David and King Solomon and glorifies in the Hebrews eyes, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
The 12th fold represents an emblem of eternity and glorifies, in the Christians eyes, God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit.
The 13th fold, or when the flag is completely folded, the stars are uppermost reminding us of our nations motto, "In God We Trust."
After the flag is completely folded and tucked in, it takes on the appearance of a cocked hat, ever reminding us of the soldiers who served under General George Washington, and the Sailors and Marines who served under Captain John Paul Jones, who were followed by their comrades and shipmates in the Armed Forces of the United States, preserving for us the rights, privileges and freedoms we enjoy today.
There are some traditions and ways of doing things that have important deep meanings. In the future, when you see flags folded, now you will know why.
PEACE ALWAYS!!!
JUST A BORING LIFE HERE
HAPPY JULY EVERYONE
I know that no one wants to read about bad news…I am sorry about this but I had to talk about it all because that way it is said and done and then I feel better.
This first picture is of our dog YAPPER…cutie…
I had to manipulate the pic a bit because it came out too dark. However the news is that Yapper is no longer with us. A week or two ago we found Yapper dead in our backyard. Allen suspects strongly that a neighbor poisoned our dog. I think I mentioned before how I just do not do neighbors…well this only confirms my feelings. He was fine one minute and dead the next. Our neighbors have children that are constantly taunting our dogs. Obviously no one has told them that rotties will only take so much and then rip through anything to get to what is annoying them.
Okay…the next bad news is that we lost our lil Mini me…
the puppy that my dog Athena had. I knew Athena was too young to have puppies but I really thought this pup would survive because Athena was taking such good care of it. But I was wrong. Our other dog ZZ Top had pups a week before Athena so Athena has adopted them and cleans them and such in place of hers. Athena seems to be handling it ok. It just broke my heart to see that.
I was suppose to get my disability check in the mail today, but again I was disappointed. NO CHECK. I have no idea why the check is coming late, it kind of ruined our plans for today and we have to put off a few things because of it. I am a bit annoyed but there is nothing I can do about it. I really was in the mood to go run some errands which is somewhat rare for me- so this just screwed that up.
Good News—Allen got his battery charger for his digital camera in the mail yesterday, so he is a happy camper. His camera is REALLY nice. I am jealous. Allen is so pleased with himself and his new toy. Of course our daughter had to try it out and took dozens of pics outside to test it out. She is in love with the camera- Allen knows this means trouble. LOL.
Another neighbor behind us has started with the fireworks early. Of course he has the illegal ones. I could careless until he starts shooting them off in the wee hours…which will be on the 4th as he does every year. Of course my dogs are going nuts..so it hasmade life even more of a zoo here.
Not much else truly is going on..my life is boring.
Well—Have a GRAND weekend everyone and take some time for yourself to relax and enjoy the holiday.
PEACE!!!
NO EXCUSES
Sorry folks…no excuses…just too down and out to sit here and write anything. I really hate when I go through these phases or whatever they may be called…it takes such a long time to just start functioning in some sort of normal fashion.
I have been trying to stay positive and think good things but things seem to overwhelm me too easily.
Today I seem to be ok. I have been again sleeping a whole lot but Allen says that after I have slept a lot I seem so much more calmer and relax…I think he is right. Maybe that is my body’s way of healing…I do not know.
I have been trying to keep up with everyone’s journal…that also sometimes makes me feel overwhelmed…I am pathetic!!
Okay…First…it is HOT AND HUMID here in the sunshine state. This summer is already becoming unbearable. The AC is such a relief. My heart really goes out to those that have to work in this heat…Just crazy.
We have no special plans for the forth of July. We will probably buy our own lil kit of fireworks and do our own thing as we do every year. Also the racetrack near us has fireworks and we have the perfect seat in our front yard. We might bar-b-que ..just depends on the weather and what we are in the mood for.
Allen has not gone to work this week. He has called in sick. He has been suffering from severe headaches now for quite some time. The cat scan showed signs that he has been suffering from them but no tumors or such (thank God). However, the doctors cannot seem to get it under control. It makes me feel so totally helpless seeing him in so much pain and there is nothing I can do for him. Of course with the state and the fdle…those excuses are not acceptable in this state. I guess we will see. He has another appointment tomorrow with our regular doctor who referred him to the specialist to see what else can be done. He really is at his wit’s end with the pain.
Along with the summer heat come the storms…so my puter time has been cut down A LOT. The storms here have been hard and fast. The electric has gone on and off but not for long. However I keep the puter off because I do not need a fried piece of electronics.
ß-this is me on most days…LOL. Just had to throwthat one in.
Just to add to my stress level-my puter chair is totally broken. Allen sat in it one night to use my puter when his was not working and he leaned back too far and SNAP…the left handle separated from the back. Well after much wear and tear..both arms are separated and my back is killing me sitting here. I told Allen that when my check comes in the first thing I am getting is a chair. The only vice I have is my puter…it is my life line and not being able to sit at it for any period of time before my back hurting is just not acceptable.
I did manage one early morning to add some photos to my photo album on fotki…I am constantly adding but I WELCOME you all to check it…you can see a bit of my crazed life…LOL. Here is the link  ELLIE’S PHOTOS
Today I received a few more items for my craft obsession. I feel like it is Christmas every time I get a package. I have also managed to do a few more digital scrapbook pages so I am happy with that accomplishment. I know my kids will enjoy these scrapbooks when they have their own families and want to share things from their childhood.
Well – I think I have caught up some with you all. Keep positive thoughts for me. I just want to be able to do normal things…is that asking too much?
Take care of yourselves and remember to show those you LOVE just how much you LOVE them.
PEACE!!!
JUST THINGS
HEY HEY HEY....I have been kind of stumped about what to write yet again...I really need to write my ideas down and save them for when I do draw blanks...because this is really getting to me.
Just a few things going on here: as you all may or may not know...my illness (the main one being COPD) was brought on by being exposed to black mold in my work place for several years. I sued and won...I, unfortunately have to depend on workman's comp for everything since I sued the insurance company..so according to the judge they have to take care of me until I am at the ripe old age of retirement. (I definitely have many years until then) HOWEVER...I am somewhat at their mercy and very skeptical about dealing with them over anything. Well I finally got tired of it all and I think I already mentioned it....but I am changing my psych doctor...he is much more concerned with money and how many patients he can fit in to a day rather than doing anything useful for me. So I am now waiting on my lawyer to discuss this with WC and find me another doctor. I also had to make another appointment with the pulmonologist because my prescriptions are up and it is time to check in...geez...I really HATE doctors..have I mentioned that yet?
But the lung doc is pretty cool...nice elderly man...very quiet and peaceful demeaner, soft spoken, and really has helped me a GREAT deal. I like going to him...he always has a kind word and will spend all the time in the world with you that you need.
Okay...the next bit of news is that for the last couple of days I have been fighting a severe sinus headache...I just know it has to do with allergies...tis the season for all that..but these headaches have got to go...I will also speak to the doc about that one...he can prescribe anything he wants for me...or if I want a referral (like I do for my eyes) he can do that too and WC has to honor it. Ihave my list...
Now since I have not gone to the psych doc...he will not renew my prescriptions until I get a referral...(probably because he is losing money) so of course the anxiety attacks are coming back alot more often and my sleep schedule again is even more screwed up...I sleep for an hour and I am up for 4 or 5...I think in total I get about 4 hours of sleep in a 24 hour period...which does not help with the depression or anxiety or anything else. But right now there is nothing I can do.
BTW...my hunnie found one of those fancy flashlights that you charge...it uses the same charger as like drills and such that you can buy...we have a drill one..he found it in front of our garage...INTERESTING....we assume that someone had to be outside and dropped the flashlight when whoever was shocked to see 12 some old adult rotties trying to get at them through the glass windows.
Now...my rotties will bark their lungs out at people outside our house...however the closer you get the crazier they get...the police no longer come into our yard...when we call them (we had trouble with some neighborhood kids stealing) there is a warning that comes up with our address that says we have several bad dogs and to meet owners on the street. That was at their request not ours. Pizza delivery guys have dropped pizzas when our dogs all of a sudden jump on the window beside the front door...and the mailman NO LONGER comes into the yard to deliver packages...he pulls into the driveway and lays on the horn. My dogs have NEVER attacked anyone to my knowledge...HOWEVER I do not believe that anyone outside of my house wants to risk it!!!! GOOD DOGGIES....
We did have one rottie jump through a window when this lil boy was screaming outside near his mom..but once our rottie saw the mommie hugging her child...our rottie just walked up to them and licked the lil boy...she lives around the corner from us...and she stayed with our rottie until we got home from work...(this was years ago) which was about a 15 min wait. Turns out we had to rush the dog to the vet because she cut a main vein in her leg..the blood was everywhere. We still have that rottie...her name is Ginger....the oldest one we have...and the one who started this puppy factory...she will not let ANYONE hurt a child...it is incredible. One time my nephew decided that Ginger needed a walk...what compelled him to feel that way I have no idea...we do not walk our dogs around the neighborhood...we have a big backyard fenced in for them to go crazy. BUT the lil one opened the gate long enough for him and Ginger to take a walk...I thought he was in bed taking a nap...but he snuck out the back glass doors...I never heard him..and they were gone ... I was checking in on him and he was NO WHERE....of course I freaked out..and could not figure where Ginger was because she would never leave his side...well Allen jumped in the van and searched the neighborhood and found them a few blocks away...there were two men trying to get close to my nephew to ask him questions but Ginger would not let them near him...he was only 4 at the time and his speech was a bit delayed..and he NEVER talked to people he did not know...so when my hunnie arrived the men were so relieved ...one of their wives called the police...Allen just had to say to Ginger to load up (getting into the van) and she went in with no problems and my nephew got in after her. The police recognized my hunnie...(because he is in law enforcement also) so they were just thrilled that nothing serious happened to the child. Ginger protected him with her life...Just a GREAT dog.
Okay...enough stories for now...I think I will go veg out and watch fox news and such...I hope the rest of your week goes smoothly...
Remember to SMILE....it is VERY contagious!!!
PEACE!!!
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
Happy Father's Day to all you great dads out there...to all of you that are sharing this day with your dads and to all of you that are remembering your great dads.
I thought I should share some pics of my dad....he is still around kicking it. I think he is around 83 or so...I never get the age right. I should be talking to him very soon...my dad was one who was VERY strict, very traditional, extremely intelligent and a brillant business man. Most of all he did all he could to provide his family with everything he could. To this day...I still call him up when I am trying to make a decision about something major and get his feedback. To me he is truly wise. I will tell you all an inside secret...Since I was a teenager...I have always called my dad "old man". I have no idea why I began calling him that...I guess since we are the closest among all the kids and him..I had to have something that was just between him and me. Well hence the name--Old Man.
To this day--NO ONE else in the family is allowed to call him that...and he will tell them that it is my name to call him and no one else's...it is that connection between us, something else that makes our bond more closer.
Well...Here are some pics of Old Man:
This is Old Man in Morrocco about twenty something years ago when he and my mom decided to do the Europe trip and try it all.
 Old Man in his backyard before he and Mom moved down south.This was taken almost a year ago.
Old man sitting in a porch chair because all their furniture at this point had been packed getting ready for the big move. Taken almost a year ago.
Taken this past March ... Old man arrived with mom to pick up my daughter for spring break. She spent almost two weeks with them and of course they spoiled her rotten.
I just wanted to share a few pics...I have alot more...but did not want to overwhelm on the loading of pictures. I do hope you all have a great day... Enjoy your family and/or friends and show your love to all those that you care about!!!
Peace
HERE I AM AGAIN
I know again I seem to vanish...seems to be the story of my life.
I do apologize...there are times I get so motivated to write then it just disappears when I actually have the blank page in front of me. Also there are days I just want to scream and that is definitely not something to write about....because I think AOL would terminate my journal for EXTREME foul language....I know a lot of those great words.
Okay....first I will tell you that for about three days AOL played total chaos with my email, my software, my favorites folder and anything else they could do.
I am sure that most of you (maybe not) have ads inside each individual email that you open. Well for me it was quite a shock and it was slowing my computer down incredibly. The ads were also causing errors...and then aol would freeze then I would have to reboot only for the same garbage to happen again. Spoke to online help SEVERAL times...sometimes I actually had to wait 20 minutes for a tech to be available. The first tech said to download the most recent version of aol (which I thought I already had the most recent version) well believe it or not...it worked. NO ADS....I was doing the happy dance.
Only to be disappointed once again...the ads returned about two hours later...went back to tech.. then this time was told the standard answer..."we offer ads to provide others goods and services to our aol customers"...well my patience ran thin and I proceeded to go off...WOW I can write when I am mad...LOL. I then waited to see if something was going to happen to my hunnie's computer and sure enough the ads showed up in his emails....well now it was serious because it was slowing his computer (go figure).
He talks to tech...and gets the same standard answer but he was down right insulting to the tech who was treating him like an idiot...he can write some stuff now when he is upset!!!!
So again I go to tech because I kept freezing...well this tech had me doing all kinds of garbage to all kinds of settings...so far everything else about AOL is working for me....and the ADS are here to stay. I am so disappointed in AOL...I really thought that they could not stoop any lower but I was wrong. I have been with AOL going on 10 years...long time...I remember having AOL 3.0 but it just seems that ADS are their lifeline now.
Okay so I spazzed out with AOL for three days...I do not think in all the time I have owned my puter ... I have ever rebooted so much and changed so many settings....I had one tech for two days...we emailed each other ... I would tell her what is going on and she would send me instructions on what to change...bless her lil heart.
So now that my adventures are over with AOL until something else comes up..
I have found if you have the MOST latest version of AOL their browser almost is non existent...it is difficult to get a lot of web pages to come up. But if you use internet explorer...it is lightening fast...also signing in now is lightening fast...I now have to use explorer to view all the journals that I read...but it is so much more quicker and there is no loading time at all for the graphics and such.
NOW...some family news....My son AJ (who is in the army) will finally be done with all the formal training including his MOS on July 14th. He has 72 hours to report to his division in Tennessee and after that he has no idea what is going to happen. He has been calling me a lot. Talking about whatever under the sun...even emailing me. It really has been nice. I think apart of him is homesick and apart of him is disappointed because he thought the army stuff would be so much more.
My other son is losing LOTS of weight...and because of it..he cannot enter the army until after Sept. 15th. For a long time he thought of going into the Marines like my father but he has several friends right now in boot camp or that are just finishing up with boot camp and they are all army...so I think he is going that way.
Now my radical daughter..who is 16 is out of school and driving me crazy...her main project (according to me) is to get her room fixed up before I let her dad go in and just throw things away...she had the puppies in there and they really destroyed a lot. Her own fault...we told her to keep them out...but she did not want them to go anywhere out back then fit through the fence and be lost...this child worries about some crazy stuff.
Which brings me to my next subject...DOGS..I absolutely LOVE animals...BUT we have entirely tooooo many dogs in my house...three females have given birth in the last two weeks and we have puppy fever here...UGH!!! My house nor my nerves cannot take it anymore. My dog gave birth to two of which one did not survive...she had a female pup. My hunnie's dog gave birth to 5 male pups..and another female we have gave birth to three pups last night...we do not know the sexes yet. I am slowly losing my mind over all of this. My hunnie is just fed up period and wants to call the pound to come get them...this is a VERY sore subject in our house. I think that makes 20 dogs altogether here....JUST INSANE!!!!.
Here are some pics of puppy antics:
The lil girl pup sleeping on her mommie's leg.
One of the male pups sticking it's head where it does not belong!!! That can is the mommies not pups.
NOW...some other delightful news is my daughter is getting the driving itch. I have such a problem with her driving and I have no idea why. Her dad lets her drive around our area..she is in an all fire hurry to get her license and take off. Which brings me to the next subject of her car. YES she has a car. My hunnie is using it right now because his jeep is swallowing GAS and we just could not afford it...and her car gets GREAT gas mileage...so he uses that. She does not have her permit yet...and I am in no rush to let her go to the driving place and get it. HOWEVER she has already started buying stuffies for her car..with my hunnie in tow. She now has matching cloth seat covers...and matching seat belt pads...and matching pockets that hang anywhere in your car for your phone and notepad and whatever else. The AC works GREAT which is a big plus in the sunshine state..the two of them even went out to walmart and put a big time fancy cd/radio/ipod type stereo system with speakers on lay away. The two of them are driving me crazy. Hunnie wants to get her car painted for her birthday as a surprise...it has some dings and paint peeling but a nice paint job would make it look new...everything else works wonderful (knock on wood)
Here is a pic ofher car:
As you probably already heard...our HURRICANE season has started...ALBERTO was kind...we only got some rain...nothing to really talk about. I really think it is some other state's turn to take on the majority of hurricanes...florida cannot afford anymore. Everyone's insurances have gone up and of course building supplies have risen because there is such a demand for them. Just crazy!!!
Of course the heat has become unbelievable already..the humidity will kick your butt every time. Unfortunately this is just the beginning of the summer heat...and officially summer has not started. UGH UGH UGH!!!!
Okay....I have caught you all up on some details of my life...nothing exciting but I thought I would check in and say Hi and truly I hope everyone is doing well.
THANKS for stopping by and remember to call someone you have not heard from in a long time...your call may just be what they needed.
PEACE!!!
