I HAVE BEEN SPOILED

What a GRAND surprise I received yesterday. Lately it has been a bit edgie around here. Not at anything in particular, just trying to get too many things done and not enough time nor energy. I think my hunnie is stressed to the hilt (actually I know he is) because he has had to take on everything I can no longer do. WOW - THAT IS LOVE!!! He is not the type to complain. He just goes with the flow..but things at work are getting hectic and I think it is all starting to pile up on him now. For awhile now I have let him do his own thing...not that he would ever follow a honey-do-list but he has been working on cars and motors and wheeling and dealing and I have let him go at it. I know that working on cars and tearing apart motors is his stress outlet. So I have just let it go. Well obviously he has noticed that life is not as bouncie around here because I am keeping to myself and trying to stay out of his way. So I needed some ink for my printer yesterday and he decided to go to the stores. He took our daughter with him since she also needed a few things to finish up her project.

WELL...I was in for a shock of a lifetime. When they arrived home they came in with loads of bags of goodies. I thought Xmas had arrived early. My hunnie went out and spent WAY too much money on ME. Yes ME. He bought me all kinds of mirrors and glass paints and all new tools so that I can start making stained glass mirrors. I am SO EXCITED.  He bought me enough paints and all to last me quite a while. Well if that was not enough he also bought me a new sticker machine. These machine have been around for a bit. I have the first one that came out...well this one not only makes anything a sticker...but also laminates, makes magnets and such. I am in HEAVEN. I asked him why all the COOL stuff and he said I just want you to be happy and being creative does that. So now you have plenty to be both.WOWOWOWOW...now how BLESSED am I?

I guess he has noticed that I have not pushed him or anything and decided to make it up to me. WOW... I am just way too surprised and thrilled. Our daughter could not stop smiling and she kept asking me if I am happy...and saying "oh mom..we have so much to create now" GOD I JUST LOVE THEM!!!

So as you can see...I had a marvelous  monday... and now the projects are flying through my mind and I am already thinking of more mirrors...lol

I must go and start something...I am itching to be creative. You all have a FABULOUS tuesday!!!

PEACE!!!

MONDAY CAME TOO QUICK

A typical xmas tree in florida...LOL... I will take palm trees over snow days anytime..tho I do miss the snow this time of year..but then I remember my days of living in Buffalo (the snow capital of the world) and remember walking through it just to make it to classes and being snowed in for days and having some serious cabin fever..The only month I never saw it snow in Buffalo was July... that made me nuts.. so I guess I will just take my lil palm trees and be grateful.

Today already started off on the wrong foot sort of speak. My daughter woke up at her regular time for school ( 5:30am) and asked to stay home to finish a major history project that she has been busting her tushie on for two weeks now. She has only had two weeks when the rest of the students have had since the beginning of the year. This teacher wants it to be in book form when they are finished. He wants them bound like books... hmmmmmm now her school is located in one of the most wealthiest areas in central florida...we DO NOT live in such an area...we are at the opposite end of that spectrum. To have a book bound costs a small fortune...so today we must go and do that once we buy the ink needed to print everything out. I feel for the kid. I told her she could stay home..I jsut did not want her to feel embarrassed by the teacher for not having it completed.

We did not get done everything I wanted...too lazy at this point... the weather has gone from quite chilly (for florida) to it's usual hot and humid...perfect weather to catch a cold...so I just stay under the covers and watch football games and such.

I still have christmas presents to get...I have already made some that I must say came out nice...but still have many to buy...balancing finances will be the real trick. Well I am off to go figure out what to do next..I hope you all have a FANTASTIC monday!!!

PEACE!!!

HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

First...our THANKSGIVING was absolutely wonderful. So very peaceful and the rib feast was a GRAND success. My hunnie cooked it all along with our daughter...so that is another thing I am so VERY THANKFUL for... They really did a great job!

Now...how many of you actually joined in on the crazed BLACK FRIDAY! All that pushing, shoving, fighting, pulling hair, kicking, God I hope I did not really hurt anyone...LOL...JUST KIDDING!!! You all know me better then that...If I cannot do normal crowds you know I did not even attempt to go anywhere. My hunnie took our daughter to the stores to check out some deals...they really did good...of course hunnie had to spoil the kid again.

They went to one store and found a SUPER deal on biker leather jackets...we are a HUGE BIKER FAMILY so of course this caught my hunnie's attention. He got the child a biker jacket...I am so jealous...it looks grand on her.. He also bought her a new cd/mp3 player. Lord...now what is left for christmas...he said he could not resist. GEEZ!!!

After two stores, they called to tell me the crowds were just too overwhelming and they were going to go out to lunch and then come home. I am glad they got to spend some great time together. I think they really are forming quite the bond... Just what I was hoping for.  We heard from one son... I think he really missed having thanksgiving here...he said he is going to go out of his way no matter what to make it here for christmas... he wants to wake up here christmas morning and do the family thing. Too Cute!!! The other son called today... he is just doing his own thing and working on trucks... that is typical.

Of course I am doing the football thing this weekend...there are not too many weeks left to myfavorite sport...so I am trying to take it all in. I can never get enough football!!! I am off to go make some graphics I need for a website...I hope you all have a fun saturday!!!

PEACE!!!!

THANKSGIVING EVE

WOW...tomorrow is the big day. It has been wonderful reading about how everyone is going to spend the holiday... so I thought I would write down what we are going to do here at the old homestead.

For the past 12 years, We have had Thanksgiving Dinner at our house. Everyone in the family came and stayed for 3 or 4 days just eating, visiting and eating. I really enjoyed those times, but because my health has taken a steady decline in the last year, I really could not do another big holiday like that. It usually took us about 2-3 weeks to get ready for all of it. Well since my boys are down with their grandmother and aunt (who need the company), my hunnie and daughter and I wanted to make this holiday a very easy and laid back one. We are not big so much on the turkey as we are on the desserts..LOL So we have decided we are going to stay home and do a big rib feast...the old southern country kind ...with all the fixins just for the 3 of us. I am really looking forward to it. No insanity and baking and cooking for two days and none of the hassles. The pumpkin pies (3) and the cheesecake (1) are done and ready to be devoured. I know this may not sound like a big family get together...but we are realizing that we can do with much more quiet peaceful times instead of the insanity. It will not be the same without my boys...but I am glad they are going to spend this time with their grandmother and aunt...that means alot to them.

My hunnie and daughter went and did all the grocery shopping and so on...they are real troopers. So that is half the battle. My hunnie does not have to work tomorrow so that will make for a great laid back day of spending time together and watching football (which is a tradition here) and then catch some old movies (which is another tradition).

I do not know if I already shared this cartoon with you all so please forgive me if it is a repeat...

PEACE!!!

THANKSGIVING WEEK

YES YES YES...saturday with great aniticipation...we waited for the BIG florida rivalry game to begin..the game started at 7:45 in the evening...all the pre game analysis only made tensions grow...but finally the game started. Now in our house...you can definitely tell that that two teams are followed..the gators and the seminoles...my hunnie and one son love the seminoles...and one son, daughter and of course myself are all for the gators...we have ALL sorts of memorablia from the two teams all over the house.... we are so "obsessed" that we even named our cats..seminole and gator. Of course this is done in fun...and it makes for a GREAT family activity..

Now the point is that whoever wins the BIG game has bragging rights for a YEAR...yes a year. If we were going for a national championship...then there would be a bet of some sort...like dinner somewhere, somethiing of that sort.

Drumroll PLEASE.............

       VS

GATORS won...........20-13

This was a truly nail biting, scream at the t.v. exciting night of football.... Of course ...my hunnie is already tired of hearing it ...but if it was the other way around..he would be calling me from work every hour to rub it in...I did no such thing.     YET

Okay...with Thanksgiving around the corner...here is a lil pic from me to you

Have a GREAT monday!!!

PEACE!!!!!
