I JUST KNEW IT

I knew it ...I knew it ....I knew it....First THANK GOD...we did receive the check today from the retirement fund....BUT like I said ...the state has a way of screwing with their employees....the check is from a bank in Massachusetts...the banks here have a policy that out of state checks have to sit for 10 business days so that it can "clear"....well first why did we pay for overnight when the check will automatically have a hold....the Florida retirement lady knew this because that is the law in Florida.....and why is the check from a bank in Massachusetts.....if we have to wait for 10 days it will be TOO late to stop the foreclosure.....DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!
I just knew there had to be a catch with all of this.....the Florida retirement lady DID NOT mention this little issue at all during the teleconference Allen had with her and the investment guy....the bank said they could do us a favor and let us have $100.00 but that is it.....OMG....I just wanted to scream...this is so typical...now what??????
I am just beside myself right now.....I have to think about all of this...I am too upset to be rational right now....but just wanted to fill you all in....like I have always said...you just gotta love the Department of Corruption!!!!
HUG THOSE YOU LOVE.........PEACE!!!

Something is wrong with this picture.  Can't you sign the check over against the foreclosure?  I'm hoping you'll figure something out soon!  Julie

CALL THE PLACE THAT IS FORECLOSING AND EXPLAIN THINGS TO THEM AND ASK IF THEY SEE A SOLUTION...MORE THAN LIKELY THEY WILL GIVE YOU AN EXTENTION OR EITHER MAYBE THEY CAN DO AN ELECTRONIC WITHDRAWAL....OR ASK IF THEY WILL TAKE A CHECK AND HOLD IT FOR ONLY TEN DAYS...
HOPE IT TURNS OUT OKAY...
LOVE YA,

I am so far behind on my reading that it took me an hour to read your back blogs to figure out what is going on. I am praying for you and your family. I do not think they will foreclose soon because it usually takes 30-90 days for them to even get the legal documents to do it. With the soft real estate market in Florida, I know people who got foreclosed six months ago and still living in their homes. Usually in the soft market, mortgage companies are more apt to wait for the owners to catch with back payments than foreclose. Just present the check to them and I know they would wait than go through all the paper trail involved in foreclosing. Hugs to you and your family.

Do you still have the check from the retirement fund?  Either take it or a copy of it to the mortgage company and show them that you indeed have the funds, or get the bank to write a letter that the check has been deposited and you are waiting the 10 days for the funds to be released.  Give it to the mortgage company and ask them to please let you write them a check for the amount you are paying to them and to hold that check for 10 days.  I can't imagine they'd rather go forward with the foreclosure then to work this out.
Our bank is worse than that, doesn't have to be an out of state (province) check to be held, in fact if it's out of province they hold it for 14 days and out of country they hold for 21 days.  But even paychecks are held for 5 days at a lot of banks.  Any other "local" checks are held for 7 days.
Praying you can get this worked out with the mortgage company and that they will give you that 10 day extention.  Oh as bad as I hate to add any more worry to the situation, keep in mind that 10 days are 10 business days, (Mon. thru Fri.).  Don't want you expecting to have the funds available come the 16th and have them not there yet.  I learned that the hard way.
Hang in there twin, keep faith this will all work out.
Love ya,
CJ
